I have discovered that in life there is no 1. Well, the only 1 is God and Truth. Other than that, the concept of having only 1 major hero or magic bullet that solves all problems or covers all needs is false. I don’t know where this notion of the 1 (or perfection) came from. We have been taught to search for the 1 career/ job, the 1 perfect partner, the 1 perfect car, house or friend who understands us completely. Its like life is a quest to find the 1 particular path which will lead to perfect happiness.
I have taken a different approach; choosing to see things as they are in the present, and matching my needs and talents to them. I am the sort of person who has multiple interests and abilities, so my career can involve diverse parts which make up the whole. I can move from one project or field to another, and develop the different parts of myself. So I have left the box of looking for one perfect path. I will work on many different things as my intuition and good sense call for it.
